A woman from South Wales has spoken out against Vodafone after a billing error which resulted in her being rejected for a mortgage. Ellen Jones, 26, was told her account had been closed with all bills paid. The next month however, she received a message telling her she owed Vodafone £18- plus £34 in late fees. After Vodafone again confirmed her account had been closed, she was rejected for a mortgage due to her unpaid debt to Vodafone. A spokesman from Vodafone has apologised, saying that the outstanding balance on her account was an error.
