House prices in the UK rose by 6.7% during 2016, meaning that prices rose overall by £14,000 during the year. The area with the most expensive properties is unsurprisingly London, whereas the region with the lowest house prices is the North East of England. The average home price now stands at between £218,000 – £234,000 for England.
