Hi my husband and I have return d to the uk in January this year after working aboard for a year. We are looking to settle back in the uk and want to buy our first home.
Would we have a chance of getting a mortgage as we have been away from the uk for a year? We have been to our bank who said they need 3 years address history.
Is there anyone that would consider a shorter uk history?
Hi Annabel
Thank you for your post.
Many Lenders do require a minimum of 2/3 years address history to consider a mortgage however we do have a handful of lenders form our whole of market panel that will consider you for an application with your current UK history.
Please do call us on the freephone number 0800 009 6788 or you can fill in the quick enquiry form located on the right hand side of this page and we will call you back to help you buy your first home.
