Good Morning

RBS have agreed a mortgage on a new build and I am super excited. The house is not complete yet so I have a whole two more months to wait. Will the bank do another credit check again before the completion ? Do you know how stringent this check will be if it is going to happen ?

Thank you for your enquiry.

The bank can do a credit check before completion, sometimes when there is a gap in the application to completion then they will check to ensure that you financial circumstances haven’t changed.

It would be advisable to try and keep your finances the same as application and not to spend excessively on any credit cards or consider any other new credit agreements until completion of the mortgage.
