Property prices UK: Midlands mini-BOOM as asking prices soar in August – Express.co.uk

Several counties in the Midlands and East of England are showing a marked increase in asking prices. The Rightmove House Price Index compiles data on asking prices for homes listed for sale, rather than the final sale price, which is compiled by the Office of National Statistics, among others. While England at large is enjoying a modest 3.1% growth year by year, eight counties are showing more than double that: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, and Derbyshire.
