More than two hundred new apartments are being built in South Shields to provide for huge first time buyer demand. The flats are to be constructed in a former rundown retail area of the town. The properties will start at just over £100,000 with around a £20,000 discount under the Help to Buy scheme and the whole development is expected to be complete in 2020.
