According to Halifax, house buyers are on average £651 a year better off than renters. It finds that The average monthly costs associated with buying a three-bedroom house in the UK are £705 – £54 less than the rent for a similar property.
They also find that homeowners in London save the most (£1,420 against £1,581); whilst homeowners in East Anglia save the least (£7).
