According to the Halifax ( the UKs biggest mortgage lender), the UKs house price growth is continuing to slow, it has stayed at pretty steady levels since the last major crash in 2008. The current average home price is approximately 220K and has stayed at about that with little to no change, for quite awhile. A Halifax housing economist was quoted as saying that the shortage of property on the market was responsible for keeping the housing markets prices the same over this coming summer.
