The index dipped slightly from February to March, going down about 0.2%. While this trend can be concerning for short term sellers, typically prices are more flat in the winter when buyers are less eager to move and find a new place. Overall the average increase is 4.2% over a year, putting the price of an average UK home in the range of 224K GBP. London and the Southeast still have the highest prices in all of England while the Northeast pulls in the lowest.
