A recent study by Lloyd’s bank which compared average house prices with average yearly salary has found Gloucester to be among the top 20 least affordable cities in the UK. Gloucester has seen significant increases in house prices between 2012 and 2017. Oxford was found to be the least affordable place to live with Gloucester coming in at 20th position.
