More lenders offer 100pc, ‘no deposit’ mortgages – Telegraph.co.uk

100 percent mortgages, requiring no deposit, have started to return to the UK property market. Tighter regulation since the financial crisis had eliminated these formerly popular products, but lenders have come up with new ways to offer this amount of borrowing. One building society requires a parent to register against their own home, while another allows use of a personal loan as mortgage deposit. One high street bank is allowing a 100 percent loan if 10 percent of its value is left in a linked savings account by a parent. A wide range of options merits further investigation.
